Time Machine!!!! Yeah Baby I Got It

Time change and with that things around change too. Someone once said "Change is the only thing that is permanent". True very true. Many around the world try to challenge the principles of physics and do succeed. If it weren't for those who took risk where would be in this world today. Something to think about right. Well enough of my philosophy.

I was driving the Mercedes E-Class today, a test drive and was amazed by the how technology can change the whole driving experience. So i thought to put down my thoughts on a blog and get to know what others think about the same.

So my perspective, will it be difficult to see ourself in next 20-30 years sitting in a car with no steering wheel, no stick, no accelerator, no brakes. Well its very much possible and that would be thing. Tell the car about point of destination and the car would calculate everything for you. From the best route, avoiding traffic and shortest ride. How?

Current features in luxury car: a. Ability to detect a car in front and slow down automatically with no driver's intervention.

b. Switching lanes alert if there is car on the lane and beep if its dangerous to shift lanes.

c. Cruise Control

d. Automatic wipers

e. Key less entries

f. On Star Service

g. GPS service to find out whats the speed of the car vs whats the speed of the car

H. Through GPS, traffic detection and best route and shortest time to travel.

I. Parking detection

So, by now you must have imagined what I'm talking. Design of a car where you feed the destination. The GPS is integrated with car controls (speed, size of the car). The GPS then calculates the shortest time to travel and fastest route to travel. With Car Cruising the car starts. Remember the GPS is integrated with the car control. So the GPS find the speed of the road from the satellite and send it to the cruise control to maintain no more than that speed. With car camera's and GPS route finding capabilities the car turns where it has to. And slows down when required and has the capabilities to stop on red lights through GPS controls again.

Wallah, you are at your destination. With no driving....

And then you have that magic steering which pops out when you need to drive yourself. We are not too far when you find car flying like shown in movie "The fifth Element", "Minority Reporter".
